J. Dade Thornton
Dade Thornton assists clients in a variety of real estate matters, including the financing, acquisition, disposition and development of industrial, office, retail, residential and mixed-use properties, with a particular focus on commercial leasing. Dade represents both landlords and tenants in industrial, office and retail lease negotiations and lease administration.
Dade’s clients rely on his practical advocacy. He effectively manages each transaction while keeping the client’s ultimate goals at the forefront. His ability to keep the larger picture in mind while handling the minutiae makes him incredibly valuable to his clients.
In addition to his real estate experience, Dade has also handled a variety of energy industry matters, having drafted and negotiated instruments for a variety of oil and gas transactions, and performed due diligence on the acquisition and leasing of numerous oil and gas assets.
Prior to joining the firm, Dade worked at Blank Rome LLP for six years, where he was a valued member of the real estate practice group. Prior to that, he worked at Burleson LLP in the real estate, corporate and oil and gas title practice groups.
While in law school, Dade was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and received a Certificate of Advanced Study for Environmental Law, Science and Policy.
